André Serero is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in business and law.
As an executive-in-residence at Ryerson University, André Serero runs the Ted Rogers School of Management’s Top 200 Program, an initiative designed to give emerging leaders — academically excellent students who are also involved in community and extra-curricular activities — the opportunity to accelerate the growth of their personal, professional, leadership and career readiness skills.
André is also an Adjunct Professor at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM), where he teaches a number of advanced law courses. He is a Fellow with TRSM’s Leadership Centre and a Faculty Advisor for the Co-op program for TRSM’s Law & Business students.
André is a Strategic Partner with Rosenzweig & Co., a high-end global talent management firm that focuses on critical, specialized executive search.
Prior to joining Ryerson, André was Executive Vice President at Bell Media Inc., where he was responsible for Bell Media’s local conventional television stations; engineering, operations and IT group; human resources; business and legal affairs; corporate services and corporate security. Before that, André was Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of CTVglobemedia Inc., responsible for all business and legal affairs pertaining to CTVglobemedia and its subsidiaries, all deal-making and M&A activities, as well as the provision of strategic counsel to the CEO and senior executive team.
Prior to joining CTV, André was Vice President, Law & Corporate Secretary of Bell Canada International Inc., where he was a lead negotiator in the establishment and operation of international joint ventures, principally in Asia and Latin America, for BCE’s international expansion vehicle.
André was awarded the Canadian General Counsel Award in the Deal Making Category and was voted Corporate Counsel Newsmaker of the Year, by Canadian Lawyer In House Magazine.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., 1987) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L., 1987) from McGill University. André is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
